The presentation went over the importance of how to deal with different types of fires and how to react in a fire emergency at home or at work. A couple quick tips mentioned during the presentation were:
Know your different types of fires and how to put them out. For example, it is important to know that pouring water on a grease fire will likely make the fire worse. A recommended solution is to spread baking soda over the fire and try to smother it.
Have fire extinguishers readily available in case of a fire emergency and also have an evacuation route and meeting spot in place.
