Fire Department Care Kit Delivery-KFD

1/29/2024 (Permalink)

Four firefighters and a SERVPRO representative posing in front of a fire engine. We are more than happy to deliver a supply of our "Care Kits" to your local fire department!

We are very grateful for the opportunity to meet with members of the Keene Fire Department this morning! We were at Central Station delivering a supply of our Fire Department "Care Kits."

These kits contain personal hygiene products to be distributed to individuals or families who are displaced from their homes following a property fire. They contain items such as shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and tissues. If these individuals are forced to reside elsewhere while their home is cleaned, deodorized, or repaired, these kits will at least save them a trip to the pharmacy or grocery store. One less thing to have to consider following a traumatic event.

Thank you to all the members of our local fire departments and first responders for all you do to keep our communities safe!

2023 Collaborative Food Drive

1/17/2024 (Permalink)

Food drive logo. Thank you to our generous community partners who made this year's collaborative food drive successful!

The SERVPRO Collaborative Food Drive began back in 2014 as an idea to include local business partners within the local community to help those in need. Our challenge: how can we streamline the process of food collection while maximizing the volume of non-perishable food items to deliver to the local food banks. Our solution: we will deliver collection boxes to participating businesses and pick them up at the end of the drive. We will then transport the collections to the food banks. The support from local businesses was, and still is, tremendous. Aside from a hiatus in 2020 and 2021 during the pandemic, the food drive has been widely successful each year.

This year's Collaborative Food Drive is in the was no exception. With the help of our amazing partners, over 1,700 pounds of non-perishable food items and cash donations were delivered to the New Hampshire and Vermont Food Banks! Over 1,700 pounds! Amazing! This wouldn't have been possible without the kindness and generosity of these businesses and school.

BIG THANKS to everyone who helped to make this year's drive widely successful!

Green Ups 2019

5/10/2019 (Permalink)

Photos From Green Up Peterborough, Green Up Keene and Green Up Brattleboro.

This Spring, we have participated in three local Green Ups! It feels great to help clean up local roads within our communities! The first Green Up we participated in was on April 19th. We helped the Contoocook Valley Board of Realtors with this year's Green Up Peterborough along busy Route 202. We had a great team this year: our Marketing Team (Derek, Andrea and Laura), Bill Fluhr of Freedom Home Inspection and Laurel Hansen of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust! Together we collected over 30 bags of garbage along the busy highway.

On Saturday, April 20th, the day after we participated in Green Up Peterborough, our Marketing Team braved the rain with the Monadnock Region Board of Realtors to help in this year's Green Up Keene! The weather wasn't on our side but we still managed to have a good time and did our part to keep Keene clean!

And on Friday, May 3rd, our Marketing Manager Andrea Thompson and Marketing Representative Laura Michelewicz helped fellow members of the Southern Vermont Board of Realtors with a Green Up in Brattleboro, VT! The team collected rubbish along busy South Main Street.

Happy to help make the world a little bit greener!

Keene ICE All Stars vs. Boston Bruins Alumni

3/1/2019 (Permalink)

Boston Bruins Alumni and Keene All Stars line up for a pre-game photo. Derek Paul is pictured in the front row on the far right.

On Saturday, February 9th All Stars from the Keene Men’s Division played against ex-Bruins such as Rick Middleton, Tom Songin and Steve Leach in a charity game to benefit Keene ICE. Our own Derek Paul played goal for the Keene Men’s Division and he defended the net for the first half of the game and teammate Gregg Crisp tended goal for the second half. The puck dropped at 3:00 and it was an incredible game with excellent plays by each team. Both teams played with a lot of heart but in the end, the win went to the Bruins Alumni team with a score of 10-2. Derek Paul was honored to have been asked to participate in this great event and is already looking forward to next year. It was an experience he and his teammates won’t forget!

2nd Annual Shave to Save Raises Thousands for Local Cancer Treatment Center

1/28/2019 (Permalink)

Before and After This Great Group of Guys Lost Their Beards!

The Monadnock Wolfpack Rugby Team put their own facial hair on the line to raise funds for the Norris Cotton Cancer Treatment Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Keene, NH. This fundraiser starts after “No Shave November” commences and ended this year with a grand shaving finale at The Barbery in downtown Keene, NH on Saturday, January, 19th. The Wolfpack shattered their goal of $4,000 this year, having raised over $5,000 and the huge level of local participation in this event speaks volumes. Everyone is unfortunately affected by cancer in some way on a personal level so it’s a great thing that this local rugby team is doing for the second year in a row! We were so happy to be a part of it! SERVPRO of Cheshire County Co-Owner Derek Paul, who is a big fan and also had a brief stint on the Wolfpack team, risked (and lost) his own beard to help raise funds for the cause!

SERVPRO CWWC Co-Owner, Derek Paul, displays one of the food donation boxes for this year's drive.

As we turn the calendar to December, three things are certain: the Holiday season is upon us, the snow will be flying soon, and the SERVPRO CWWC Holiday Food Drive is about to kick off! Now in its 3rd year, the SERVPRO CWWC Holiday Food Drive is a collaborative effort captained by SERVPRO of Cheshire, Windham and Windsor Counties to collect non-perishable food items for donation to New Hampshire and Vermont Food Banks. In the first year of the food drive, SERVPRO CWWC worked together with 8 different businesses and was by all accounts a complete success. Consistently gaining momentum since year one, the 2016 Food Drive has the support of 26 businesses throughout South Western NH, Southern VT and Northern, MA. Last year, over 1,200 pounds of food items were donated to NH and VT Food Banks. This year, our goal is to collect and donate 1 ton!

The collection boxes will be at each of the participating locations until December 19th. Be sure to check out our Facebook page for a list of the business locations to find a donation box near you. You can always stop by our Westmoreland, NH office to make a donation as well. Hope to see you soon, and thank you for your generosity!
